One issue many business owners can relate so well to is that of little or no sales. I mean you’re probably sure you’re doing all the right things, but somehow, no matter how hard you try, the sales are not just coming the way you want.
Well, today we will look at why you’re not making any sales and what you should do about it.
Here are some reasons why you’re not making any sales;
1. You put your customers last
A lot of times, business owners make this mistake, and this can lead to no sales. Sure you may have a great product at a good price, but you don’t actually care about your customers or about how your product can be useful to them. Rather you’re more interested in selling your products. Everyone wants to be cared about, and not caring for your customers will definitely discourage them from buying.
2. You failed to test the idea
Before you got all hyper with excitement over the idea for your offering, did you bother to actually see if there was a genuine need / want for it? Even if you think your offering is the best, other people either have to want or need it for you to actually sell it.
3. You failed to have a launch strategy
You cannot just create a product and immediately push it out for people to start buying, you have to get them excited about it even before they see it. You have to find a way to make your product offering so attractive that when the product itself finally comes out, they would rush to buy it.
4. You failed to promote your product
YES. You cannot not promote your products. Something you spent so much time working on deserves to be promoted so that it can get to the right audience who will buy. Failing to promote your product is a guarantee that you won’t make sales.
5. You are too desperate to sell
Nobody wants to be sold to by a desperate person, and the thing about desperation is that people can easily sense it on you. When you are too desperate, it makes people wary and distrustful of you because they may think what you’re selling is not genuine.
Now, what can you do in order to make sales;
✔ Put your customers first. Be genuinely interested in what they need and not just in your need to make sales.
✔ Test out your idea first before pushing it out to be sold.
✔ Have a launch strategy for your product.
✔ Promote. Promote. Promote. This is very important. Run ads and put your products out there. That’s the only way your target audience will see it and buy.
✔ Don’t be too desperate for a sale. Just be confident and apply the steps above, and watch your business begin to make sales.
